In order to guarantee you the greatest possible security and flexibility during and after the booking, extensive and relaxed rebooking possibilities apply with immediate effect. Please note that these are bookings in which the respective shipping company acts as tour operator.

In the following we have summarised the most important information and recommendations for individual shipping companies.

e-hoi flight package

Canceled cruises:
Until recently, our focus was on the return of our guests who were travelling worldwide on ships and ashore at the time of the incipient travel restrictions. Here it paid off for you if you booked a package tour (cruise with e-hoi flight package) through us. Because in addition to an attractive price advantage when booking, we have rebooked and rebooked many hundreds of flights at our own expense to enable you to travel home quickly.

For all trips organised by us, we have promptly passed on to you the offer advantages of the shipping companies which have offered and continue to offer these for rebooking or issuing a voucher.

Of course, we also have understanding for those who, in this emergency situation, would like a refund of the paid travel prices. Therefore, we will promptly make a refund for all cancelled cruises until 30 June for which e-hoi is the tour operator and thus your contractual partner.

Should you wish to rebook or cancel your existing booking, we will be happy to help you find suitable alternatives. In doing so, we have to differentiate from shipping company to shipping company and consider your booking individually. Please feel free to contact us!

AIDA

Canceled cruises:

AIDA has cancelled most departures until 30.09.2020. In addition, AIDAaura’s voyage around the world will be postponed with its original start on 26.10.2020.

New bookings:
All new bookings until 31.10.2020 can be rebooked once free of charge up to 3 days before the start of the cruise – regardless of the fare.

AmaWaterways

Existing and new bookings:
Free cancellation until 21 days before departure and no deposit required.

A-ROSA

Canceled cruises:
A-ROSA has resumed voyages on the Duoro, Rhine and Danube since 17.06.2020. The restart of the trips in France is planned for 11 July 2020. We have already informed all customers.

Existing bookings:
For guests who have booked the PREMIUM ALL INCLUSIVE fare, a one-off rebooking of the travel date or ship is possible free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the trip, while retaining the overall layout.

New bookings:
The standard terms and conditions apply. For guests who have booked the PREMIUM ALL INCLUSIVE fare, a one-off rebooking of the travel date or ship is possible free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the trip, while retaining the overall layout.

Carnival

Canceled cruises:
Carnival has canceled all cruises up to and including October 31, 2020 and subsequent departures:

  • All departures from San Francisco until 31.12.2020
  • Carnival Radiance until  01.11.2020 and 05.02.2021
  • Carnival Legend until 30.10.2020
  • Carnival Sunrise until 19.10.2020
  • Carnival Spirit until 06.10.2020

  • Carnival Breeze Re-routing between 08.11.2020 and 24.04.2021

100% Refund

The decision between Option 1 or Option 2 should be made by 31.12.2020, otherwise the customer will automatically receive the Future Cruise Credit which can be used for bookings until 31.12.2020 with departure by 31.12.2022.

Existing bookings:
Guests who wish to keep their booking made by 10.03.20 as planned for departures between 01.08.2020 and 30.09.2020 will automatically receive the following on-board credit amounts:

  • USD 50 per cabin for 2 to 5 night cruises
  • USD 100 per cabin for 6 nights cruises and longer

Guests who wish to change their booking made by 10.03.20 for departures up to 30.09.2020 can postpone their booking to a new date and will receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to the non-refundable cancellation fee: rebooking is possible up to 30 days before departure, departure of the new cruise up to 1 year after the original departure date at the latest. The booking guest is responsible for paying the difference between the FCC amount and the amount of the new booking.

Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Azamara

Canceled cruises:
Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Azamara have cancelled all cruises until 31 October 2020. In addition, due to the closure of the port, no Canada cruises can take place until 31.10.2020.

In addition, trips by Jewel of the Seas until 14.02.2021 and Bermuda cruises with Royal Caribbean until 31.10.2020 are affected by cancellations. The Odyssey of the Seas voyages from November 5, 2020 to April 17, 2021 will be cancelled. The departures of the Celebrity Silhouette are cancelled on 08.11.2020 and 20.11.2020. Furthermore the departure of the Celebrity Infinity will not take place on 16.11.2020. The departures of the Azamara Quest are cancelled until 14.11.2020.

Royal Caribbean Group offers the following compensation options for cancelled cruises:

Option 1: 125% Future Cruise Credit for a booking until 31.12.2021 on a cruise until 30.04.2022

Option 2: A refund of 100% of the cruise fare less taxes and fees. The refund can be submitted until 31.12.2021. Flights and hotel booked through RCI/Celebrity/Azamara will be automatically refunded. Services provided by third party providers such as airfare, hotels etc. may be refunded after verification.

Existing bookings:
For bookings made on or before August 1st, the following rules apply:
Guests may cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive 100% Future Cruise Credits, which may be used for all departures until April 30, 2022 for Royal Caribbean & Azamara and until May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises, provided the booking has been paid in full.

Under the slogan „Lift & Shift“, guests can postpone a booking until the following year, at the same price and with the same extras. The date of the new cruise in the coming year may not differ by more than four weeks from the date of the originally booked cruise.

The new departure must have the same characteristics as the existing booking (ship class, route, duration, cabin category and type of accommodation).

New bookings:
For bookings made on or before 1 August, the following rules apply:
Guests may cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive 100% Future Cruise Credits, which may be used for all departures until April 30, 2022 for Royal Caribbean & Azamara and until May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises, provided the booking has been paid in full.

Costa

Canceled cruises:
Costa has cancelled the following cruises:

Costa offers its clients two compensation options:

Option 1: The affected customers will receive a voucher for the travel price paid to us and additionally an on-board credit of CHF 100 per full-paying customer (max. CHF 200 per cabin). This voucher can be redeemed for all trips with departure up to and including November 2021. The vouchers can also be used for cruises already booked by customers with departure up to and including November 30, 2021.

Option 2: Guests who do not wish to use their travel voucher and on-board credit, we will refund the price of the cruise in the amount of the payment already made to us upon request.

New bookings:
Guests who make an individual reservation (FIT) with a travel end before 31.03.2021 in the booking period until 31.07.2020 may rebook their trip once up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. The replacement trip must take place within 1 year of the original start of the trip.

Cunard

Canceled cruises:

On the basis of very careful considerations and trade-offs, we do not believe it would be reasonable to resume cruise operations this year. We will extend the interruption of the travel season for Queen Elizabeth until March 25, 2021, for Queen Mary 2 until April 18, 2021 and for Queen Victoria until May 16, 2021.

In addition, in connection with the extension of the break of the Queen Mary 2 into April, this has unfortunately led to the difficult decision that we will also cancel the voyages of Queen Mary 2 with embarkation between January 3, 2022 and April 3, 2022. This affects the 73-night-long Great World Discovery Voyage South America.

Cunard offers two compensation options to the affected guests:

1) You have already paid for your entire cruise?
If you have already paid the full price of your Cunard cruise, we offer you a voucher for 125% of your previous cruise price. The voucher value consists of 100% of your previous payment, in addition we offer you 25% added value.
The voucher is valid until 31.12.2021 and the voucher value can be redeemed for Cunard cruises via Cruise-Interconnect AG with departure until 31.03.2022.

2) You have paid a deposit for your cruise but not yet paid the full amount?
We therefore offer you the opportunity to purchase a voucher amounting to 125% of the cruise price paid so far. The value of the voucher consists of 100% of your payment made so far, in addition we offer you 25% added value.
You would like to purchase a 125% voucher for the complete cruise price as described under option 1? With pleasure! You can purchase a voucher worth 125% of your previous cruise price with our top-up offer. We will only charge you the balance of your original cruise fare. After payment of this amount you will receive your 125% voucher for the full cruise price. The voucher is valid until 31.12.2021 and the voucher value can be redeemed for Cunard cruises via Cruise-Interconnect AG with departures until 31.03.2022.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises

Customers concerned will receive a personal travel credit, which can be applied like a means of payment to their next booked cruise with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The travel credit consists of the payment(s) already made to us for your cancelled cruise. It is automatically credited to your customer account, so you do not need to do anything else. Your personal travel credit will be available for bookings until 31 December 2021 for your next cruise(s) with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and will be paid out after that date. Your voyage may begin after this date.

As a thank you for your loyalty, you will receive the following discounts for your next booking:

  • 25% discount on the sea route if you book with a cruise commencing before 30.04.2021
  • 10% discount on the sea route for bookings with departure before 30.09.2021
  • € 200 per person on-board credit for new bookings of a trip starting from 01.10.2021
  • For customers who are affected by trip cancellations but have already booked one or more trips in the future, the following applies: Your payment(s) will be credited to this trip(s). In addition, they will receive an on-board credit of 3% of the sea voyage price per booking.

Existing bookings:
Until 31.10.2020 there are relaxed cancellation fees, these are 200€ per person until 90 days before the start of the cruise.

Holland America Line

Canceled cruises:
Holland America Line has cancelled the following cruises:

Guests who wish to receive a Future Cruise Credit of 125% must have already paid the full cruise fare. This credit is valid for 12 months and can be used for departures until 31.12.2022. If the Future Cruise Credit of 125% is desired, please let us know and we will arrange for the voucher to be issued. Otherwise you will receive a refund of 100% of the payment already made.

Guests who have only made a down payment will receive a Future Cruise Credit in the double amount of the payment already made.

Existing and new bookings:
Bookings until 31.08.2020 with departure until 31.12.2021 can be cancelled up to 30 days before departure. Here you will also receive a Future Cruise Credit, which you can use for your next cruise booking. The FCC must be redeemed within 12 months for travel with departure by 31.12.2022.

MSC

Canceled cruises:
MSC Cruises has cancelled all cruises until the end of October 2020. In addition, cruises with MSC Meraviglia cannot take place between 05.09. and 22.10.2020 due to port closures. Exceptions to this are the voyages of MSC Grandiosa, which will return to the Mediterranean from the end of August, and the voyages of MSC Magnifica, which will resume voyages in the Mediterranean from the end of September.

MSC Cruises offers guests affected by this extraordinary measure the possibility of a credit note for the full amount of the cancelled cruise. In addition, guests will receive a generous on-board credit. The credit is valid for a future cruise of their choice until the end of 2021.

Existing bookings:
All guests with a booking with departure between August 1 and October 31, 2020 are now covered by the extended Flexible Cruise Programme.

With MSC Cruises‘ Flexible Cruise Programme, guests can rebook their cruise to a departure date of their choice until 31 December 2021. Guests can transfer their bookings free of charge to any ship in the MSC fleet with any itinerary – up to 48 hours before the original departure date or, in the case of Fly & Cruise packages, up to 96 hours before departure (excluding any airline cancellation charges for the flight).

New bookings:
MSC offers the following simplified deposit and rebooking conditions for all new bookings made before 31.07.20. You pay only CHF 50 deposit per person and can rebook up to 15 days (cruise only) or 21 days (Fly&Cruise offers) before departure. In case of cancellation, the cancellation conditions according to the general terms and conditions apply.

NCL

Canceled cruises:
Norwegian Cruise Line had to cancel all cruises up to and including 31.10.2020. Voyages in North America in October are also affected by port closures and can therefore not take place.

In addition, the voyages of Norwegian Sun up to 18.10.2020 were cancelled and the voyages between 03.01. and 31.01.2021 and between 15.02. and 17.03.2021 were rerouted. Similarly, Norwegian Jewel’s departures will not take place as planned between 25.09.2020 and 27.02.2021 due to rerouting.

NCL offers the affected guests two compensation options:

Option 1: Guests with active reservations on cancelled cruises will automatically receive a voucher for future cruises of 125% (departures between 18.03.-30.06.2020) or 150% (departures between 13.03.-17.03.2020), which can be redeemed for any cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line until 31 December 2022.

Option 2: Guests who do not wish to receive a voucher for future cruises for cancelled cruises will receive a refund of 100% of the cruise fare paid, which will be credited via the original payment method within 90 days of submission of the refund form.

Existing bookings:
The NCL Peace of Mind offer is valid for all new and existing bookings made up to 31.07.2020 and is valid for all cruises until 30.11.2020. With this offer, customers can cancel free of charge up to 48h prior to travel and will receive a 100% refund of all payments already made in the form of a voucher that can be redeemed for future cruises until 31.12.2022. The new booking must be made within one year of the cancellation date.

Oceania Cruises

Canceled cruises:
Oceania Cruises has cancelled all cruises until 31.10.2020. Additionally, the remaining Alaska and Canada season 2020 cannot take place.

As compensation for this circumstance, all guests who have currently booked a cruise with embarkation from May 15th to June 30th, 2020 will automatically receive a credit for future cruises equal to 125% of the cruise fare paid.

Guests who do not wish to receive a 125% credit for future cruises can instead receive a full refund. The refund may take up to 90 days.

Existing and new bookings:
Guests may cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid.

If, for the planned cruise, another sales promotion published and applicable by Oceania Cruises grants additional price or service benefits until the day of departure, this may be taken advantage of.

Valid for all existing and new bookings until July 31st, 2020 for all published departures 2020, 2021 and 2022. The Future Cruise Credit is valid for one year from the date of issue and can be applied for cruises with departure until December 31st, 2022.

Phoenix Reisen

Canceled trips:
Phoenix Reisen has cancelled all river cruises until 14.06.2020, Danube, Portugal, France and Croatia cruises until 30.06.2020 and Nile cruises until 31.08.2020. The river cruises are now gradually resuming their schedule.

The following ocean cruises are also affected by the cancellations:

Sea cruises with departures until 30.11.2020 can be rebooked to a Phoenix cruise of your choice free of charge.

For all river cruises to Russia, on the Amazon, the Dnieper, the Mekong, the Irrawaddy, the Neamadi, the Ganges and with Viola: All departures until the end of 2020 can be rebooked to a new cruise of your choice from our published catalogues free of charge.

Ponant

Canceled cruises:

Relaxed cancellation conditions apply to all new bookings of cruises departing in 2020, 2021 and 2022: the cruise can be cancelled free of charge up to 90 days after booking confirmation.

Departures 2020: A deposit of only 10% is due. The balance is due 30 days before departure. The cruise can be cancelled free of charge up to 30 days before departure. In the case of cancellation free of charge, the amount already paid can be credited to a new cruise or refunded (less an administration fee of 200 EUR per person).

For departures from July – October 2020, the balance is even due 7 days before departure and the booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before departure.

Princess Cruises

Canceled cruises:
Princess Cruises has cancelled numerous cruises until autumn/winter 2020. Customers affected will be informed about alternatives as soon as possible.

Existing and new bookings:
For cruises as well as sea & land tours of Princess Cruises with departure until 30.04.2021 (excluded from this are any additional services such as flights, hotel accommodation etc. – here the regular conditions apply) new cancellation conditions apply with immediate effect:

  • Cancellation up to 61 days before departure: 100,- EUR handling fee p.p.
  • Cancellation until 30 days before departure: Customers will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC)* in the amount of the cancellation fees for their next cruise with Princess Cruises on departure by 01.05.2022.

*Important information about the Future Cruise Credit (FCC):

  • The FCC is automatically credited to the Captain’s Circle profile of the customer, this can take up to 60 working days.
  • The FCC is not redeemable or transferable.
  • The FCC can be credited to any Princess Cruises cruise with a departure date up to 01.05.2022.

Regent Seven Seas

Canceled cruises:
Regent Seven Seas Cruises had to cancel all voyages until 31.10.2020. Furthermore, the remaining Canada Season 2020 cannot take place.

Guests will receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit if the cruise fare has already been paid in full. The FCC is valid for travel until 31.12.2022.

Guests who do not wish to use a Future Cruise Credit will receive a 100% refund. Refunds will be made to the payment method used at the time of booking within 90 days of cancellation.

Existing bookings:
Guests who have already paid the full price may cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and will receive a 100% FCC.
This applies to all existing and new bookings from 18.05.2020 and departure until 31.12.2022. The FCC is valid for one year.

Seabourn

Canceled cruises:
Seabourn had to cancel the following cruises:

Seabourn offers its guests two compensation options:

Option 1: Future Cruise Credit of 125% in the amount of the cruise fare paid for travel up to 31.12.2021, if the cruise fare has already been paid in full. The new booking must be made by 31.12.2020. Additionally booked services (excursions etc.) will be refunded to the means of payment deposited.

Option 2: 100% of the cruise fare paid plus any additional services (excursions etc.) will be refunded to the means of payment deposited.

Silversea

Canceled cruises:
Silversea had to cancel the following cruises:

Customers can cancel all bookings with departure up to 31.12.2020 free of charge up to 48h before departure and receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) with 2 years validity. Cancellations less than 48h before departure will incur a cancellation fee of 100%.

TUI Cruises

Canceled cruises:
The shipping company TUI Cruises has already had to cancel the following trips:

Mein Schiff 1 until 15.11.2020 (except Blaue Reisen)
Mein Schiff 2 until 31.10.2020 (except Blaue Reisen)
Mein Schiff 3 until 01.11.2020

Affected customers have the following options:
Option 1) New booking until 31 October 2020 with 10% discount on the new trip (cruise incl. flight arrival and departure package).

Option 2) New booking until 31 December 2021 with 5% discount on the new trip (cruise incl. flight arrival and departure package).

Option 3) Cancellation with payment of the cruise price.

Existing bookings:
All guests with a departure date up to 31.10.2020 are offered the option of rebooking free of charge (regardless of the fare booked) up to 5 days before the start of the cruise if they do not wish to travel.
